These are wonderful stories to remind us that a long-time relationship is truly a partnership. I talk about how you really come to know the love you have for your child by remembering the first time you are woken up in the middle of the night because your child has a stomach bug and has gotten sick in bed- only to also get sick in your bed when you allow them to crawl in with you to sleep. These stories are what creates real love!
Oddly I was thinking about the Waltons the other day. Remember how they all said good night to each other. The Appalachias are such an old mysterious place full of myths and stories and art. A place where I would like to spend some time soaking it all up. Thanks for sparking these ideas!
